Baptism

Water baptism represents faith found in Jesus Christ. It is a sacrament, or ordinance of the early church that continues today. It is an outward sign of an inward spiritual reality of faith in Jesus alone for salvation.

Baptism is an act of obedience to the commands of Jesus found in Matthew 28:19- 20. When a believer is immersed into the waters of baptism, it is a visible picture of the believer’s death to sin, and the burial of an old life. The coming up from the water symbolizes the resurrection to the new life that is in them through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who Should Be Baptized

All who believe should be baptized. (Acts 8:1216:31-3418:818:36-38). Believing in Christ Jesus requires repentance, faith, and confession on the part of the one being baptized (Acts 2:3822:16Romans 10:9-10).

Children who understand the Gospel and can articulate their faith can be baptized at CF.

In following the pattern of Scripture, our general practice is to baptize by immersion.

If you would like to be baptized at CF, follow the link below to inform the church office. Someone will be in touch with you to set up an appointment to meet with a pastor. After that meeting, your baptism will be scheduled for a Sunday morning.
