Sherry White Funeral Service

Sherry Lynn White, 72, of Columbia, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at The Arbors at Colony Pointe. She was born November 15, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Juanita Park. She was united in marriage to Dan White on August 25, 1967, and he survives. Sherry graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas and also attended Kansas City Business College. She worked at Christian Fellowship Church for 14 years and retired after 17 years from Dr. Willett Dental. There is not enough space on a page to capture all that Sherry was in this life and what she meant to those around her. She was a woman of great joy, who was known for her kindness and her generosity. She had a beautiful laugh that would bring a smile to everyone around her. Being surrounded by brightly colored flowers increased her joy in life. Sherry was the rare person who could create a vision for a project or an event while also managing the details necessary to see the vision come to life. She was a fiercely loyal friend to many but she always had room for others to join her circle. Sherry loved her family deeply and she prided herself on having a unique relationship with each of her grandchildren. Most importantly, Sherry White was a follower of Jesus. Her faith guided all that she did and it was a source of strength to her in good times and in difficulty. Sherry’s faith was not about just saying the right words or being a nice person. She lived what she believed and embodied the love of Christ wherever she went. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is face to face with her Savior now. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dan of Columbia; mother, Juanita Park-Kalkenbach of Pleasanton, Kansas; son, Andrew White (Christine) of Battlefield; daughter, Rachel Lademann (Bradley) of Columbia; brothers: Michael Park, Paul Park, Tom Park, Tim Park, Jon Park; sisters: Janis Brewster (Steve) and Sue Tipton; grandchildren: Brady, Rorry (Devin), Kendall, Parker, Declan; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Park; and a brother, Arthur Park. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, December 12 at Christian Fellowship Church with a funeral service at noon at the church. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to Granny’s House, 110 E. Worley, Columbia, Missouri 65203.
