I grew up in Kansas City, moved to Ozark for high school, and am proud to call it my hometown. I met my husband, Chris, while studying journalism at MU and working at the campus McDonald’s. During college, I joined the staff of a church plant and we ended up calling it our church home for 25 years. Over that time, I worked with almost every ministry and eventually went back to school to be certified as a church business administrator. I served as the administrative pastor for 15 years, creating the infrastructures needed to care for people and sustain our growth. Since then, I dusted off my journalism credentials and spent a very fun three years as the editorial director for COMO magazine. I joined the staff of CF in March of 2020 and currently serve as the Pastor of Church Life, overseeing the area of spiritual formation. Chris and I have two grown sons and are currently enjoying life as empty nesters!
In my free time you can find me writing, traveling the world, listening to country music, studying theology, trying our newest local restaurant, devouring Christian fiction, or hanging out with friends and family. I am a storyteller at heart and love hearing, sharing, and experiencing what makes each of us unique. I love pink and citrus Jelly Belly’s!
I believe that all people matter to God and were created with a unique purpose. I am passionate about helping people discover that purpose and develop it for the sake of others. I also get excited about creating structures, content, and environments that transform people’s lives and build healthy, growing churches. I quickly fell in love with the people and vision of Christian Fellowship and am excited to once again be serving a local church full-time and preparing us for future growth!
