We have found one of the best ways to build relationships and strengthen your connections within the church is to serve alongside one another! God has given each of us talents and skills for the purpose of blessing and building His church. Here are some easy and fun ways to start serving.
Not sure where you fit? We offer a class called “Designed with Purpose” several times a year. This fun, interactive class will help you discover your personality, spiritual gifts, and passion and connect you with a place to start serving. Classes are offered several times a year as part of Wednesdays at CF.
We exist to support families in the mission of leading children on the adventure of knowing Jesus. Opportunities exist to serve in classrooms such as the nursery, preschool, and elementary grade levels in both our contemporary and African Multi-Lingual services. You can serve regularly, once a month, or as a standby volunteer. If you’d rather not work directly with children, we also have monthly opportunities to assist at the cfKidz registration desk.
Our youth ministry at Christian Fellowship meets each week for games, worship, and teaching. If you want to have some fun while seeing God move in students’ lives, this is for you! Opportunities are available for mentoring, leading a small group, leading worship, and organizing games and activities.
If you enjoy meeting new people and serving others, this serving area could be a great fit! On Sundays, usher, greeter, and connection center teams serve on the front line while the coffee and volunteer break room teams serve behind the scenes. There are also a large variety of special events throughout the week for those who like to cook, decorate, clean, or organize to help with.
It takes many people to host our worship services each weekend. Not only do we need people who can sing and play instruments, we need skilled individuals to run audio, lighting, video, and manage the stage. We’re looking for people who are committed and passionate about using their talents to seek God’s presence and lead the congregation in worship.
Prayer is the foundation for everything we do at Christian Fellowship. We do not take the Lord’s presence or the work of the Holy Spirit for granted. Dedicated members of the Intercessory Prayer Team take turns praying for the church on Sunday mornings during the teaching times. There are also opportunities to pray for the church before the first service on Sunday mornings at 6 am.
As a non-denominational church, we want to come alongside people both in their relationship with God, but also their practical needs. We have opportunities to help the homebound through food deliveries and or friendship. We are also blessed with a steady stream of refugees from a variety of African countries that we can help with things we often take for granted. Such as providing them with transportation, helping coordinate apartments, teaching English and finding jobs.
Learn more about these opportunities and more by signing up for our Practical Needs Newsletter.
