We are excited to welcome our new Events and Kitchen Coordinator – Becky Hodill! We have asked her a few questions so that we can all get to know her.
A Little About Becky:
- Tell us a little about your family.
Dan and I met in the summer of 2008. I was roommates with Elizabeth Stott and Kaylyn Briscoe at the time and they were the ones that actually introduced me to him. We started dating that fall, got engaged in the summer of 2009 and then were married in January of 2010. We had our daughter Mabel in April of 2014 and then our son Everett, was born in September of 2015. - How long have you been in Columbia and what brought you here?
I moved to Columbia in 2005 with my sister. We were both at a stage in our lives where we didn’t really know where we were supposed to go or what we were supposed to do, so we stepped out on faith, and moved here to get involved with campus ministry at Mizzou.
Fun Facts About Becky:
- Fun food questions for our new Event/Kitchen Coordinator:
What is your favorite type of cuisine? I LOVE Mexican and Thai food and seafood if it’s fresh.
What do you like on your pizza? Everything!
What is your favorite restaurant? That’s a hard question because I LOVE food, but if I were choosing a restaurant here in Columbia, I would probably have to say it’s 44-Stone Public House.
What meal is the most common staple in your home? Probably Stir-Fry; my kids will devour it. - Who was (or is) the most influential person in your life? Why?
My dad is definitely the most influential person in my life. He taught me to love the Lord, and because of him I have a huge passion for cooking and gardening, which are both things that we did together when I was a kid and that we still like to do now when we are together.
Becky and Her Service at CF:
- What is your role in the office at Christian Fellowship Church?
My current role at CFC is the Events/Kitchen Coordinator. - What are you most looking forward to about working at CFC?
I am really looking forward to getting to know more people in the church as I get more involved with each event. I am also really excited about working with all of our amazing volunteers and church staff! If you see me on Sunday mornings please stop me and say “Hi.” I would love to meet you!
