cfMarriage Ministry (logo)

We believe your marriage matters. It matters to God, your family, your neighbors, and your church. We want to encourage you as you seek holiness in your marriage. We desire for you to know God’s design for your marriage and to walk beside you as you seek interdependence together. In addition, we want to provide you with opportunities to connect, grow, heal, and laugh with each other alongside other couples doing the same, no matter your age, stage, or health of marriage.

Upcoming Marriage Events

Christian Fellowship is excited to partner with Forum Christian Church to offer events through the Marriage Matters ministry.

All these events are for engaged and married couples, no matter the age, stage or health of your marriage. Whether you call Christian Fellowship or Forum Christian Church your home, we welcome you to be a part of a community of couples who desire to grow their friendship with their spouse.

Marriage Matters

Marriage Classes

In it for the long haul but needing a dose of inspiration? Christian Fellowship has new marriage classes starting each semester. These classes are usually offered as part of Wednesdays at CF, which meets for eight weeks each fall and winter. The night starts with a free dinner at 5:30, followed by classes from 6:15 to 7:30. Childcare is available, and sign-ups begin in January and August.

Our marriage classes alternate between “The Art of Marriage” led by Michael and Jill Acock and “Building a Great Marriage” led by Dale and Tammy Willis.

Counseling and Resources

Pre-Marital Counseling

Getting married? True love may never end, but it begins with thoughtful preparation. Our pastors and marriage ministry volunteers are excited about helping new couples get their marriages started on a solid foundation. We use a pre-marital counseling assessment and program called “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts,” based on the book by Drs. Les and Lelie Parrott. The counseling involves taking the assessment and then meeting with your mentor(s) one on one or over Zoom for 4-6 sessions leading up to your wedding.

Pastoral Counseling

Struggling in your marriage? Has communication become hard or does your connection feel weak? We have pastoral counselors on staff, as well as a licensed professional counselor who would be happy to meet with you to provide tools for strengthening your marriage and help you navigate conversations that are hard to manage on your own.

Financial Counseling

Struggling to make ends meet or piled under debt? Tired of fighting over money? Christian Fellowship has dedicated staff and volunteers who would love to help! In addition to offering Financial Peace classes on a regular basis, we can connect you to a mentor who can come alongside you in this area of your marriage.
