Guatemala Virtual Mission Trip

Join us for our Virtual Mission Trip, October 19-24, 2020 to Chichicastenango, Guatemala! We will be joining and supporting our friends at ASELSI International, as they continue their work training leaders, caring for the sick, and serving the poor. They provide Bible Education and ministry leadership training tailored to the unique needs of indigenous, rural pastors, and church leaders in Central America. ASELSI also provides medical care for 14,000 patients annually, who would otherwise go without life-altering services.

Our Virtual Mission Trip will include interacting with ASELSI Directors Emanuel and Jessica Perez and the Gormley and Shead missionary families, as they guide us through a week in the life of a Guatemalan missionary. We will join them in the market, caring for the poor, training pastors, and having a traditional Saturday morning brunch!

Why Virtual? Guatemala has been heavily affected by Covid-19 and traveling restrictions make it impossible for us to visit in person. Our yearly mission trips support the good work they do, practically, financially, and spiritually. In these times, technology allows us to continue to support and partner with them!

Trip Itinerary:
October 19, 21, & 23 evenings (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday): 90 minute interactive meeting with missionaries
October 24 morning (Saturday): Traditional Brunch – we’ll attempt to prepare a traditional Guatemalan dish along with them!

Typically, our mission trips to Guatemala cost $2000, however our virtual trip has a suggested donation of $500 per individual and $750 per family. All proceeds will benefit ASELSI and are tax-deductible. If the suggested amount is not feasible for you at this time, but you are still interested, we would ask that you donate an appropriate amount for your sitation. You can always click the Donate button below if you are unable to attend the “trip” but would like to make a donation to ASELSI.
