Souper Bowl of Caring 2020

Christian Fellowships's Souper Bowl of Caring fundraiser for central and northeast missouri foodbank

Date: December 10, 2019

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a fun way to raise money for the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri! It supports our core value of “servanthood” and “missional mind-set.”  This is our twelfth year to host this event and we always have a great time.

How it works:

  • Members of the church can bring in crock pots full of their favorite home made soup on Sunday morning, January 26.
  • During church, the soups will be tasted and judged. Five winners will be chosen. (You can also bring a soup without entering it into the contest. Not everyone likes to be judged!)
  • After the 11:00 service, we’ll gather for lunch. The soups will be on display and cups of any soup can be purchased for $1 per cup. (The winning soups are sold for $5 per cup.)

Drinks and dinner rolls are provided by the church. During the lunch, the winning cooks will be announced and presented with a prestigious “Golden Soup Ladle” award.

How you can help:

Please come to the Souper Bowl of Caring after the late service on Sunday, January 26, and buy some soup for lunch! You can also help by donating a crock pot of soup or dessert, being a soup judge, or helping with set up, serving or clean up.  Here are some opportunities to get involved:
