Juneteenth- A Worship Experience
Jun 16, 2023 at 6:30 PM
Organizer: Becky Hodill

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Deriving its name from combining "June" and "nineteenth," it is celebrated on the anniversary of the order (issued by Major General Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865), proclaiming freedom for slaves in Texas.

Join us, along with Second Missionary Baptist Church, Urban Empowerment Ministries and Woodcrest Chapel as we host a night of worship commemorating the holiday, building lasting connections and increasing cultural knowledge in a display of unity.

This event is FREE OF CHARGE and will take place on Friday, June 16 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Woodcrest Chapel.

Shuttle rides are available from Second Missionary Baptist's parking lot. To sign up for the shuttle call 573-445- 8561 or email office@christianfellowship.com
