Little Knight's Learning Center is seeking a Full-Time, Year-Round, Lead Preschool Teacher with a passion to teach 3-5 year old's in a faith-based preschool setting. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing daily learning activities, providing a safe and nurturing learning environment as well as active supervision of students.
This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Minimum: Associate degree in Early Childhood, or a related degree with some coursework in Early Childhood, or a Child Development Associate Credential.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood.
Experience teaching preschool-age children required.
Preferred: CPR certification
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, talk, and hear
Operate a computer, hand-held learning devices, and other office equipment
Reach with hand and arms
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Essential functions may include but are not limited to:
Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
Provide a safe, nurturing, and educationally stimulating environment to facilitate learning.
Establish and maintain a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, parents, and fellow staff members.
Provide active supervision of students in the classroom and on the playground.
Develop and maintain a consistent daily routine.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and routines.
Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and program philosophy.
Promote and foster social-emotional development in all students
We are seeking a dynamic educator to lead a faith-based elementary classroom. This position includes teaching core content as well as the Bible in a small classroom setting, with a teacher's aide available for part of the day. We are looking for candidates that will foster discipleship for young children and can embrace a positive/restorative approach to discipline. Candidates should be tech-savvy and up-to-date on best practices in education.
We are seeking a qualified educator who will engage our students in grades 6 through 8 in meaningful learning experiences in reading and writing. Aside from covering literature, we also prioritize continued reinforcement of spelling and grammar. Teacher is expected to plan course material and activities that align with Christian values, assess students' progress, and build trusting relationships with students and parents. The School Nurse works to support the educational process by providing health services to students and staff. He/she will assess and identify health needs and provide implementation of services to prevent more serious concerns. The School Nurse also provides preventative health services to facilitate optimal student health. Applicant must be CPR certified and currently licensed with the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
