Join a Small Group or Class at Christian Fellowship Church in Columbia, MO.
Small groups are meetings of around 8-20 people who gather on an ongoing basis for friendship, support and spiritual growth. Every group is different, but all are places to get to know our church community and to be fully known in return. We have both short-term and ongoing groups at Christian Fellowship Church.
Our classes are built around a Bible study or book, while others are recreational gatherings based on an activity or interest. All classes encourage their members to grow in faith and community. There are small groups for women, men, kids and more.

Anticipating Antioch | Wednesday | Evening | Group Life | CF Building

Anticipating Antioch
Leader: Nathan Buxman
"And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians" (Acts 11:26). The Church didn't call themselves that. The people of Antioch did. Why? What did they do? How were they unique? Join us for Anticipating Antioch, an 8-week class designed to awaken our hearts to the prophetic call on Christian Fellowship to be an Antioch church and the work it will take to get there. We'll look at what Scripture has to say about God's heart for ethnic unity in Dr. Derwin Gray's Building a Multiethnic Church while learning from others' lived experiences and exploring race and Christianity. As Dr. Gray writes, "We are born into conflict that we did not create. These disputes existed long before we arrived on planet Earth, but we still have to live with their aftermath." Since our history informs our present, we will explore the history and lived-experiences of people from a variety of ethnicities and cultures, just like the leaders of the Antioch church would have done. Our hope is to recognize how justice is embedded in the gospel message and how Jesus empowers us to carry it out. Come learn to see the Scriptures in a new light, understand historical patterns, and learn to act in a way that ushers in a greater sense of intimacy, unity, and oneness that Jesus prayed we'd experience. Jude
Leader: Aubrey Ash
While often overlooked, the Book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception. In this 7-session study from Jackie Hill Perry, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. We serve others well when we share the whole gospel with them, not just the parts deemed attractive by our culture. Details: |

Song of Solomon - Your Belovedness | Sunday | Morning | Group Life | CF Building

Song of Solomon - Your Belovedness
Leader: Lori Galaske
The commentaries all agree: the Song of All Songs is not a book of facts. It is not history. These lovers do not depict two flesh-and-blood people who lived on this planet. It is poetry. It is allegory. It is the story of a love so rich, so deep, so absolutely thorough that it is unbelievable. Almost....And this, beloved, is your story. Together we will journey through the imagery depicted in this beautiful poem to discover the depths of Christ's love. |

The Good and Beautiful God
Leader: Aaron Freeman
We all have ideas that we tell ourselves about God and how he works in our lives. Some are true but many are false. James Bryan Smith believes those thoughts determine not only who we are, but how we live. In fact, Smith declares, the most important thing about a person is what they think about God. The path to spiritual transformation begins here. This deep, loving and transformative book will help you discover the narratives that Jesus lived by to know the Lord he knew and the kingdom he proclaimed and to practice spiritual exercises that will help you grow in the knowledge of our good and beautiful God. Understanding the Revelatory Gifts in 1 Cor. 12-14
Leader: Dan Barraco
Spiritual gifts are nothing less than God Himself in us, energizing our souls, imparting revelation to our minds, giving power in our lives, and working His sovereign and gracious purposes in us and through us. Knowing that such gifts are available and understanding how they function in a Biblical way is not only essential for each believer but more importantly is the use of these gifts in the local church. I hope you will join us for this class. Details: |
